1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of Clearway, developed and published by PocketLab Studio ("we", "us", or "our"), a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By downloading, installing, or using Clearway, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Clearway for your personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these terms and Apple's App Store terms of service.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose
• Sell, sublicense, or transfer the app to any third party

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Clearway offers optional in-app purchases, including Clearway Pro — a subscription that unlocks additional features such as iCloud sync, available on monthly, annual, and lifetime plans. All purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit and are subject to Apple's payment terms.

Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Lifetime purchases are one-time payments with no ongoing charges. We do not offer refunds directly — please refer to Apple's refund policy for any purchase disputes.

4. No Financial Advice

Clearway is a personal budgeting tool designed to help you track your own finances. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make. We recommend consulting a qualified professional for advice specific to your circumstances.

5. Your Data

All financial data you enter into Clearway is stored locally on your device. If you subscribe to Clearway Pro, your data may sync via iCloud under your own Apple ID. We do not have access to your financial data at any time. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Acceptable Use

Clearway is intended for personal financial management. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Clearway — including its design, code, graphics, and branding — belong to PocketLab Studio. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Clearway is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Budget calculations and figures displayed in the app are based solely on the data you enter and should not be relied upon as definitive financial records. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PocketLab Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Clearway — including any loss of data or financial decisions made in reliance on the app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Third-Party Services

Clearway is distributed via Apple's App Store and uses Apple's iCloud and StoreKit services. Your use of those services is subject to Apple's own terms and policies, which are independent of these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
